I have always loved dogs having been bought up surrounded by them as a child. My mum bred Miniature Dachshunds and we travelled all over to go to dog shows. I was a teenager when my little brindle pup qualified for Cruft's and achieved a 3rd place.
After Bill and I married we had 2 German Shepherds, Sherry who Bill bought as a pup and Amber who was a rescue dog.
Having started working from home it was suggested that our experience with and love of dogs would make us great dog sitters.
Our daughter Vicky lives with us and now works full time with the dogs, even welcoming them into her bedroom if they are used to sleeping upstairs at home. It is this team work that enables us to offer such a hands on home from home experience for the dogs.
All of our visiting dogs get treated as if they are our own with regular walks, playtime with us in the garden and lots and lots of cuddles.
In June 2015 we adopted Ruby a Flat Coat Retriever Cross from Jerry Greens Dog Rescue, she is such a lovely gentle girl with boundless energy. Ruby's loves having friends to stay and quickly makes them feel at home, her nature means that even dogs that get easily stressed or don't usually like other dogs get on with her.
She is now part of the Brigg Mutley Crew flyball team, so weekends usually find Bill in a field at a flyball competition some where.
In February this year Vicky adopted Skye, a Jack Russell Terrier from the Jack Russell Terrier Rescue. She is real character. Very talkative and loves to play.
